Bansko old town

Bansko Old Town - Bansko is an authentic old town which has been modernised tastefully. New buildings coexist comfortably with the older quarters. Much activity in Bansko is based around the old town square (ploshtad Nikola Vaptsarov - named after the revolutionary poet). From there you can walk through the narrow cobbled streets and experience authentic 'mehanas' (Bulgarian tavernas). Here you can experience genuine Bulgarian cuisine and local wines and beers for very reasonable prices.
